The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society awarded the Dwarf Fothergilla with a Gold Medal Award. It loves full sun and is low maintenance. It is resistant to many kinds of pests and diseases. It is best grown in moist, acidic and well-drained soils. To get an optimum floral result, plant it in a spot that gets the most sunlight. This magnificent dwarf shrub is ideal to be used as a specimen, border and hedge, as well as for rain gardens and foundation plantings. Its maximum height and width could reach up to 5 feet.
