Easy to care for and visually impactful. Red Heart Rose of Sharon draws you in and brightens your landscape. Its got an upright growing habit and develops into a graceful vase-shape with time. Very large, single, saucer shaped flowers of pure white with a scarlet center bloom from July until frost.

This vigorous and versatile deciduous shrub can be used many ways in the landscape. Plant several together in a zig zag to create a wide visual screen, or plant one by itself as a specimen in the lawn. Use one as a foundation plant at the corner of your front yard landscape to instantly ground your house without any hassle. Place several in loose groupings to anchor a low-maintenance shrub border. Red Heart Hibiscus can also be used as a fast-growing hedge or screen along the edge of a property or along a patio.

It has no serious insect or disease problems. Annual pruning back will result in increased shoot vigor and larger flowers. It is adaptable to a wide range of soil conditions and tolerant of full sun to partial shade.
