Activated Charcoal Is Used in Emergency Rooms Around the World to Support Detoxification.

Activated Charcoal binds to toxins and helps your body flush them out of your system.

Activated Charcoal from Pure Coconut Shells

My Coconut Charcoal is made from pure coconut shells. While many activated charcoal supplements on the market are made from undeclared types of wood, and may not have the correct grain size for optimal detoxification, my Coconut Charcoal is made entirely from coconut shells and is ground to an ultra fine powder for maximum surface area and absorbency.

What Is Activated Charcoal?

Activated Charcoal is an excellent detoxifier. Activated Charcoal is actually quite incredible, and is used in emergency rooms around the world to support detoxification after the ingestion of chemical or environmental poisons. Activated charcoal’s surface is covered by millions of tiny pores that bind and capture all manner of toxins.

Coconut Charcoal Detoxifies Several Harmful Compounds

My Coconut Charcoal can bind to molds, mycotoxins, and even heavy metals. Because activated charcoal has a negative electric charge, it can attract and remove positively charged compounds such as molds, mycotoxins, heavy metals, bacteria, and toxic metabolic byproducts of unwanted microbes and other organisms. This is especially important for those who’ve been exposed to moldy buildings, poor quality dental amalgams, and other environmental toxins.

Activated Charcoal Helps “Mop Up” The Toxins When You Take In Something Unhealthy

Activated Charcoal is a great idea if you’ve consumed food or drink you shouldn’t have! Whether you’ve eaten or drank something that expired a little too long ago, or had one too many alcoholic drinks at happy hour, activated charcoal can help to “mop up” the toxic aftermath and help you feel your best faster. My coconut charcoal can also help to bind to potentially irritating proteins, such as casein and gluten.

Who Should Take My Coconut Charcoal?

My Activated Coconut Charcoal is perfect for anyone who:

  • Is looking for the highest quality activated charcoal supplement available
  • May have consumed suspect food or drink
  • Is looking to support a mold or heavy metals detoxification program
  • Is dealing with gas or bloating

FAQs

What time of day should I take Coconut Charcoal? Should I take it with or without food?

Coconut Charcoal is best taken on an empty stomach when using it for detoxing. Any time of the day is generally fine. I usually have my patients start by taking it between breakfast and lunch with a full glass of water, then again between lunch and dinner. My Coconut Charcoal may also be used after eating or drinking something suspect. Be sure to ask your doctor if you are taking medications when the best time to take Coconut Charcoal in relation to your medications would be.

Is Coconut Charcoal appropriate for children?

Doses up to 10 grams of activated charcoal are often used for children in emergency rooms, however, detoxing needs to be approached with care and should be overseen by a qualified healthcare professional. I recommend working with your child’s provider in order to determine if Coconut Charcoal is right for them.

Can I take Coconut Charcoal if I’m allergic to tree nuts?

Scientifically speaking coconuts are not tree nuts, they are in fact fruits classified as a “drupe.” Other drupes include palm fruit, peaches, berries, plums, and apricots. However, because the FDA has lumped coconuts in a group with other tree nuts for labeling purposes, etc., I am required to list them as a potential allergen. In fact, true coconut allergy is actually extremely rare with only a few cases reported in the medical literature. If you have a diagnosed tree nut allergy, please speak with your healthcare provider before consuming any products containing coconut.
