Moroccan Cooking Tagine for Two - Traditional
Moroccan Cooking Tagine for Two - Traditional by Verve Culture
This beautiful tagine has the traditional designs of the Berber style displayed with geometric lines. Tagine is a multi-purpose word in Moroccan culture used to describe the earthen, cone-shaped, tabletop cooking vessel used to steam dishes and impart flavor, as well as a category of recipe prepared within the very vessel. Tagines serve as both the cooking vessel and the serving dish for double duty use.
If it's not broken, don't fix it
Descriptions of food cooked "tagine style" date back to the 9th century classic, The Thousand and One Nights. A lot has changed in the last thousand years or so, but an appreciation for a good home-cooked meal is not one of them.
The reason this cooking method has endured for so long is because tagines allow food to caramelize while cooking and to stay warm for longer when serving. By virtue of slow-cooking meat at low temperatures, effectively braising it until tender, a variety of cuts can be used. Take it from Paula Wolfart, author of The Food of Morocco. She writes, “clay pots coddle food, bringing forth bright, natural flavors and an unctuous tenderness. Clay pots produce tender, juicier, tastier meat without basting and often with less fat; they heat evenly; they retain moisture, so the food remains succulent.” #yum
Beauty AND function
Our tagine is formed from the rich, red Moroccan soil of Wadi Lan, and then decorated with a lead-free glaze. Add slight splashes of color and Moroccan culture to your dinner table with our traditionally patterned design, or find sophistication in the minimalist black line design.
Pair this beautiful tagine with one of our other unique Moroccan ceramic pieces such as the serving bowl, couscous platter and our Beldi cups!

Curing, Care & Dimensions
We highly recommend curing your tagine before first use. See detailed instructions for curing here.
- Soak the base and lid in water for 24 hours.
- Pat dry, then brush surfaces with olive oil and place in a cold oven.
- Heat the oven to 225 degrees Fahrenheit and leave in the oven for 2 hours.
- Turn off the oven and let the tagine cool completely.
After cooking, wash your tagine with hot water and baking soda, then pat dry and rub with a little olive oil. Not dishwasher safe.
*Small cracks in the ceramic are normal and over the years, the patina they create gives evidence of your cooking skills!
Dimensions:
7" tall / 10" diameter
Our tagines are hand-cast and glazed, no two are exactly alike.

from 210 reviewsI ordered a lemon button fern in a nursery pot, thinking it would be a smaller plant, and I received a larger sized, beautiful plant! It was packaged well and came in a timely manor. I am very happy with my purchase.
Love these products!
Beautiful little guy...healthy and thriving.
Beautiful, soft, and large- exactly what I was looking for.
Per my provider's directions, I put 5 drops into a small amount of water and stir. This product has not excipients (filler ingredients) and is tasteless.
Arrived very nicely packaged. No leaf out of place. It is now full of pretty little white flowers. Beautiful foliage....a healthy little plant.
Have not tried this yet, I put them away to have in emergency, I have a lot of TVP flavor soy protein. Building up the freeze dried meats now.
Perfect for 1 to two year Olds. Super versatile portion sizes. They stay suctioned... good baby shower gift.
It looked beautiful when it arrived and has been so healthy!
This is a great bamboo whisk .
