Burdock root is perhaps the primary food on the planet for detoxification. Almost every herbal-medicine tradition includes it in detoxification regimens.

Modern research indicates that burdock root contains components that stimulate liver enzymes that participate in detoxification, properties that expel toxic products from the blood through the urine. It’s a good source of potassium, which helps control heart rate and blood pressure, and it contains valuable minerals, such as iron, manganese, magnesium and small amounts of zinc, calcium, selenium, and phosphorus.

Our Burdock Root Powder is made from locally sourced organic burdock roots, which are steamed and dehydrated at low heat. Immediately packed in Miron jars, our Burdock Root Powder retains the smell and taste of earthy, fresh burdock roots.

Use Burdock Root Powder in soups, stews, sprinkled on eggs, pasta and rice, or in casseroles. Our favorite way to use it is in added to bone broth simmered with chopped greens, eggs, and whatever other powders and/or fresh vegetables we have on hand.

We recommend transferring the powder from the refill pouch to an empty Miron jar to prolong its freshness.
